MobileXperts has been an early developer of security products based on a combination of software and hardware token. Our "dongle" products have been available since 1988 and our security devices since 1991. Recent developments include our software-only security solutions, ideal for manufacturers which demand a very high level of security yet cannot afford the additional cost of a hardware token.

Software-Only Solutions
DriveLock and CryptoFile represent very high security, software-only solutions.

New! DriveLock uses a password to lock an entire drive so that its data is unavailable to anyone who tries to access it. No password, no access. Plugging in a drive locked with DriveLock does nothing. Not even a drive letter will appear. If U.S. Government personnel used this to secure their drives, they wouldn't care about losing their hardware. Works for USB drives and mobile rack drives. See more in our Software section.


CryptoFile encrypts the files and folders of your choice and offers the highest encryption-based security solution available, yet it is still easy to use. It "plugs in" to Windows Explorer so that all you do to access it is run Windows Explorer and right-click a file or folder. Simple and secure. See more in our Software section.

The mxKey is an easy-to-use USB security device. Plug it in to have a variety of security systems in place. There are many user-settable options. No other USB security device has as many security options as the mxKey.

You choose the options you want, and change any time you want:

  • put a time limit on computer usage (countdown timer)
